Try our simple make-ahead dessert topped with crispy granola instead of complicated brûlées.
Ingredients:
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping (heavy) cream
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 Nature Valley™ oats 'n honey crunchy granola bar (half pouch from 8.9-oz box), finely crushed (about 3 tablespoons)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 6 (6-oz) ramekins with butter and place them in a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks for about 1 minute until slightly thickened. Add sugar, cream, pumpkin, and pumpkin pie spice, and whisk until mixture is smooth. Divide mixture equally among ramekins.
  • Place the baking dish with ramekins on the center rack of the oven. Fill the dish with warm water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake without a cover for 50 to 55 minutes until the custard is set. Once done, carefully take out the baking dish and put it on a wire rack to cool for 20 minutes before serving.
  • Take the ramekins out of the water and cover each with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Prior to serving, uncover the ramekins and generously sprinkle each with approximately 1/2 tablespoon of the delightful granola mixture.
