Recipe for irresistibly moist vanilla cupcakes, perfectly customizable with endless frosting options.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 1 egg yolk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and set up a standard muffin tin with 12 paper cupcake liners. Next, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; then, set it aside for later.
  • In a small saucepan, gently warm butter and milk until the butter melts. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend sugar, eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla until slightly thickened and lighter in color. Gradually mix in the flour on low speed. Slowly pour in the warm milk while beating until just combined.
  • Evenly distribute the batter into cupcake liners. Bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
