Create charming Peanut Butter Cookie Bugs with pretzel legs and antennae for a crowd-pleasing treat.
Ingredients:
  • 12 oz. chocolate-flavored candy coating, cut into pieces
  • 1 (1-lb.) pkg. peanut butter-filled sandwich cookies
  • 64 tiny pretzel twists
  • 4 teaspoons miniature candy-coated chocolate pieces
Instructions:
  • Prepare your cookie sheets by lining them with waxed paper. Gently melt the candy coating in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until it is smooth.
  • Using tongs, gently dip each cookie into the melted coating, ensuring the top and sides are fully covered. Allow any excess coating to drip off before placing the cookie, coated side up, on waxed paper-lined cookie sheets.
  • Cut the pretzels into curved pieces to create legs. Dip one end of each leg piece into the coating, then place three legs on each side of every cookie.
  • Cut 2 short pretzel pieces to make antennae. Dip one end of each pretzel piece in the coating and place on top of the cookie. Add chocolate pieces next to the antennae to create eyes. Optionally, use additional candies to decorate the bugs. Allow the bugs to sit for about 10 minutes to let the coating set before storing.
