Stout beer boiled with sugar creates a decadent syrup for drizzling over pancakes or mixing into drinks.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle dark beer (such as Goose Island® Oktoberfest)
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, gently simmer the beer and sugar together. Cook until the mixture is reduced to a light syrup consistency, about 30 to 45 minutes, skimming off any foam that forms on the top.
