Indulge in decadent chocolate nut brownies made with Betty Crocker™ cake mix for the perfect dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ Dark Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 bag (14 oz) caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously grease a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup milk, and pecans in a large bowl until fully mixed. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the pan and bake for 6 minutes.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, gently warm caramels and the remaining 1/3 cup milk until silky smooth, stirring constantly. Evenly spread the chocolate chips over the partially baked crust. Pour the caramel mixture over the chocolate chips and top with the remaining dough.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted 1 inch from the side of the pan comes out almost clean (brownies will be slightly gooey). Let cool on a rack for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 1 hour. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
