Indulgent dark chocolate swirls through moist banana bread, lightened with Greek yogurt and less sugar for a decadent twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons hot water
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large overripe bananas, mashed
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly oil a loaf pan.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and whisk until well blended.
  • Combine hot water and cocoa powder in a large bowl, whisking until smooth.
  • In a separate large bowl, blend together mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well mixed. Gently fold in the flour mixture until fully incorporated.
  • Incorporate half of the banana mixture into the cocoa mixture until fully blended.
  • Layer the banana mixture and cocoa mixture into the pan, alternating between each one.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
