Sweet fuyu persimmon pie: a delectable twist on classic fruit pies.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 0.125 teaspoon sea salt
  • 6 cups Fuyu persimmons, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 10 graham crackers, crushed
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and sea salt. Spread half of the persimmons in an 8-inch deep pie plate. Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with the rest of the persimmons and sugar mixture. In another bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well mixed. Evenly spread the crust over the persimmons.
  • Bake for about 45 minutes until the crust is a beautiful golden brown and the persimmons are tender. Serve warm.
