Irresistible fried California rolls packed with creamy avocado, savory imitation crab, and cream cheese, all coated in crunchy breadcrumbs. A favorite among sushi fans!
Ingredients:
  • 10 ounces imitation crabmeat, chopped
  • 1 medium avocado, diced
  • 2 cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups uncooked instant rice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup canola oil for frying, or as needed
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
Instructions:
  • Combine crabmeat and avocado in a medium bowl, chill in the refrigerator. Place bread crumbs in a shallow bowl and set aside.
  • - Boil water vigorously in a saucepan. Mix in rice, stir well, cover, and turn off the heat. Allow it to rest until water is absorbed, approximately 5 minutes. Finally, fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
  • Add cream cheese, soy sauce, garlic salt, and pepper to the hot rice, blend well until the cream cheese is fully mixed in and no lumps are left.
  • Form a golf ball-sized portion of rice mixture into a patty. Add a heaping teaspoon of avocado-crab filling in the center. Mold rice around the filling, ensuring it is completely sealed and round. Roll the rice ball in bread crumbs until fully coated. Repeat with the remaining mixture and filling, adjusting as needed.
  • Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
  • Fry 1 to 2 rice balls at a time in hot oil until golden brown on each side, about 30 seconds per side. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate and repeat with the rest of the rice balls.
  • Mix creamy mayonnaise with spicy Sriracha in a small bowl. Perfect for dipping rice balls.
