Level up with crispy fried mushrooms - a party favorite! Coat button mushrooms in batter for irresistible bites.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups oil for frying, or as needed
  • 1 pound button mushrooms, quartered
Instructions:
  • Combine the flour and garlic salt in a medium bowl, then mix in the water and egg until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat until a drop of batter sizzles and floats to the top.
  • In batches, coat mushrooms in batter and fry until golden brown in hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove and let them drain on paper towels.
