Indulge in crispy, golden-brown shrimp coated in a light, fluffy batter.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 pounds large shrimp - peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
  • Warm the oil in a medium saucepan until shimmering.
  • Combine shrimp, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl while the oil heats up. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, flour, and baking powder.
  • Dip shrimp in egg mixture and gently place them into the hot oil to fry until golden, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove and let them drain on a paper towel. Repeat with the rest of the shrimp, working in batches.
