Transform leftover stuffing into delicious deep-fried stuffing balls, perfect with gravy and cranberry sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2.5 cups prepared stuffing
  • 1 quart oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a shallow bowl, blend flour, poultry seasoning, salt, and black pepper. In another shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth. Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and 1 teaspoon black pepper in a third shallow bowl.
  • Form 2 tablespoon-sized portions of stuffing into 12 balls. Coat each ball first in flour mixture, then in egg mixture, and finally in bread crumbs. Place coated stuffing balls on a plate and set aside to let the coating set.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan until it reaches 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Gently place 4 to 5 stuffing balls into the hot oil and fry until they turn a golden brown on all sides, which should take about 4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat the process with the rest of the stuffing balls.
