Homemade caramel popcorn crunch with a mix of candy, dried fruit, and nuts - a delightful holiday treat or creative way to enjoy leftover Halloween candy.
Ingredients:
  • 15 cups plain popped popcorn
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup candy-coated milk chocolate pieces (such as M&M's®)
  • 1.3333333730698 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup (such as Crown® Lily White)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vinegar
Instructions:
  • Prepare baking sheets by lining them with aluminum foil.
  • Mix together the popcorn, cranberries, pecans, and chocolate in a bowl.
  • Combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and vanilla extract in a sturdy saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring until boiling (about 5 minutes). Let it boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar.
  • Drizzle sugar mixture over popcorn blend; toss to coat evenly. Spread onto baking sheets; let cool. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
