Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1.25 cups heavy cream
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, simmer water, sugar, and butter without stirring until sugar dissolves completely in the water. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until caramel turns golden brown, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Gradually pour in the cream while stirring the caramel continuously. The mixture will bubble vigorously, so be cautious. Add vanilla extract and salt. Keep stirring over low heat until the caramel is smooth and creamy, about 5 to 10 minutes. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes before using.
