Spicy jalapeno buttered shrimp over angel hair pasta.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 0.33333334326744 cup salted butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup olive oil
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.75 cup dry white wine
  • 24 peeled and deveined medium shrimp
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar capers
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook angel hair pasta until al dente, about 4 to 5 minutes, then drain.
  • As the pasta cooks, gently melt butter in a spacious skillet on medium-low heat. Mix in olive oil, jalapeno pepper, and red pepper flakes until fragrant, around 10 minutes. Optionally, remove and discard the jalapeno slices for a milder dish.
  • Pour the white wine into the velvety butter mixture and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Toss in the plump shrimp and sprinkle in the tangy capers. Turn up the heat to medium and sauté the shrimp until they turn a vibrant pink on the outside and opaque in the center, for about 5 minutes.
  • Toss the drained pasta with the shrimp mixture until well coated, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
