Decadent brownies with a rich blend of semisweet and white chocolate for double the deliciousness!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and prepare a 13x9-inch pan by greasing it with shortening or cooking spray. In a 4-quart saucepan, melt 1 cup of butter over medium heat, then take it off the heat. Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Add in flour, 3/4 cup cocoa, and salt, mixing well. Fold in 1 cup each of semisweet and white chocolate chunks, and spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until firm. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, 1/4 cup butter, and a splash of milk. Use an electric mixer on low speed until the frosting is smooth and spreadable. Spread over brownies.
  • Microwave 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks with oil in a microwavable container on High for 30 to 60 seconds, stirring occasionally until thin. Transfer to a plastic bag, snip a small hole in the corner, and drizzle over frosting. Cut into 6 by 4 rows for brownies.
