Decadent chocolate cupcakes with a hidden pocket of creamy frosting inside.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1 1/2 tubs (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (or 350°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 21 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups. Follow the instructions on the cake mix box to make and bake the cupcakes. Allow them to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Fill a resealable heavy-duty food-storage plastic bag with frosting and snip off a small corner. Carefully fill each cupcake with about 2 teaspoons of frosting without breaking the cupcake. Finally, decorate the cupcakes with a beautiful swirl of frosting on top.
  • Top each cupcake generously with a sprinkle of chocolate chips and store loosely covered at room temperature.
