Spicy chipotle and warm cinnamon elevate rich brownies with luscious caramel frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (18 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup dulce de leche (from 13.4 oz can)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to a toasty 350°F (or 325°F if using a dark or nonstick pan), and generously grease the bottom of your 8-inch pan.
  • Prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the box, incorporating cinnamon and chipotle powder until fully combined. Transfer the batter into a pan and bake for 39 to 42 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the edge emerges almost clean. Allow the brownies to cool entirely before slicing.
  • Combine powdered sugar, dulce de leche, butter, milk, and vanilla in a medium bowl. Use an electric mixer on low speed to mix until smooth and creamy. Spread the mixture onto the cooled brownies.
