Earl Grey tea-infused airy biscuits for a delightful brunch or teatime snack.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 bag Earl Grey tea, ground to a powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup strong brewed Earl Grey tea
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and give your baking sheet a little love with a light greasing.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, powdered tea, salt, and nutmeg in a medium bowl, sifting them together.
  • Blend together creamy butter and sweet powdered sugar in a small bowl until velvety. Incorporate the butter-sugar mixture into the flour until it looks like coarse crumbs. Mix in brewed tea until a soft dough comes together.
  • Gently work the dough on a floured surface and shape it into a 1/2 inch thick circle. Use a round cutter to create biscuits and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake until beautifully golden, 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
