Delicious and visually striking "Magic Mirror" cake.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) container coconut pecan frosting
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Smooth the entire can of frosting on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan, then chill. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until creamy. Add the egg and mix until fluffy. Spread this mixture over the chilled frosting. Follow the cake mix instructions on the box, then pour over the cream cheese layer and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. After 5 minutes, gently remove the pan from over the cake.
