Delicious air fryer tofu customizable with spices, perfect as a main dish or appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18 ounce) package extra-firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions:
  • Slice the block of tofu in half vertically and place both halves on a plate lined with multiple layers of paper towels. Cover them with more paper towels, then press down with a heavy object (like a bread box) to remove excess liquid for 30 minutes.
  • Cut the tofu into generous 1-inch cubes, then delicately place them into a bowl. Proceed by drizzling with soy sauce and gently tossing to ensure each cube is perfectly coated.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, onion powder, paprika, and white pepper. Coat tofu with this flavorful mixture. Drizzle with sesame oil. Arrange tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket, possibly working in batches.
  • Air-fry tofu at 390 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 6 minutes, then flip and continue air-frying for another 6 minutes until crispy.
