Air fry a whole chicken for extra crispy skin and perfectly juicy white meat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2.5 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2.5 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 (5 pound) whole chicken, giblets removed
Instructions:
  • Collect all the necessary ingredients. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, poultry seasoning, paprika, and salt in a small bowl and whisk until well blended.
  • Ensure the chicken is dry by patting it with paper towels. Brush the spice mixture all over the chicken, making sure to cover every part, even underneath the wings.
  • Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down, and cook without moving for 45 minutes. Use tongs to flip the chicken over and continue cooking until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), approximately 20 minutes more.
  • Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
