Ingredients:
  • 3.5 cups peeled and diced potatoes
  • 1 cup diced cauliflower
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 0.75 cup diced cooked ham
  • 0.33333334326744 cup finely chopped onion
  • 0.33333334326744 cup diced celery
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 4 cups water, or as needed to cover
  • 2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
Instructions:
  • In a large soup pot, add potatoes, cauliflower, corn, cooked ham, onion, celery, and garlic. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Simmer until potatoes are tender, about 10-15 minutes. Stir in chicken bouillon, salt, and white pepper.
  • In a saucepan over gentle heat, melt butter, then whisk in flour to create a paste. Cook for 1 minute before gradually whisking in milk until smooth. Keep whisking often as you cook until thickened, which should take around 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Incorporate the creamy milk mixture into the soup and simmer until piping hot, for 5 to 10 minutes.
