Simplify your life with this irresistible Easy Apple Crisp recipe. Juicy apples, crunchy streusel, and warm fall flavors in just four steps. Who knew baking could be this easy and delicious?
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium cooking apples (Rome Beauty, Granny Smith or Greening), peeled, sliced (about 4 cups)
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • Ice cream or whipped cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and generously coat the bottom and sides of an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • Arrange the apples in the pan. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then sprinkle the mixture over the apples. Finish by pouring water over the apples.
  • Combine flour, granulated sugar, and softened butter in a medium bowl, using a pastry blender or fork, until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the topping turns a beautiful golden brown and the apples are easily pierced with a fork. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
