Delicious baked ham with pineapple, brown sugar, and ginger ale for extra flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (4 pound) fully-cooked spiral cut ham
  • 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 liter ginger ale
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully separate the ham from the bone, then arrange 1/3 of it at the bottom of a 6-quart casserole dish. Add a few pineapple rings and sprinkle with 1/4 of the brown sugar. Repeat the layers, finishing with pineapple rings on top. Hold off on adding the remaining 1/4 of brown sugar for now.
  • Drizzle the remaining pineapple juice over the ham in the dish. Fill halfway with ginger ale and sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar on top.
  • After wrapping with aluminum foil, let it bake in the hot oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue cooking for another 20 minutes.
