Transform chicken breasts with tangy barbecue sauce and gooey Cheddar cheese for a mouthwatering twist.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/4 lb)
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Place butter in a 13x9-inch pan and let it melt in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Combine Bisquick mix and pepper in a shallow dish. Pour milk into a small bowl. Coat chicken with Bisquick mixture, dip into milk, then coat again with Bisquick mixture. Transfer chicken to pan.
  • Roast the dish uncovered for approximately 30 minutes, or until the chicken's juices run clear when the thickest part is cut (170°F).
  • Microwave barbecue sauce in a small bowl on High for about 30 seconds until warm. Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with cheese.
