Tangy and spicy skewers bursting with flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 300g beef round steak, cut crossways in thin slices
  • 30.00 ml kecap manis
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 small fresh red chilli, finely chopped
  • 42.00 gm fresh lime juice
  • 250ml can satay sauce
  • Kecap manis, extra, to serve
  • 100g baby Asian salad greens
Instructions:
  • Skewer beef onto bamboo sticks. Mix kecap manis, garlic, ginger, chili, and 1 tbsp lime juice. Brush the mixture over beef skewers. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat a chargrill pan to medium-high heat. Cook the skewers in batches for 1 1/2 minutes on each side until slightly charred. Warm the satay sauce in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in the remaining lime juice. Transfer the sauce to a serving dish, add extra kecap manis over the top. Serve with the beef skewers and Asian salad leaves.
