Skillet tacos topped with fresh salad fixings for a flavorful meal. ¡Delicioso!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ crunchy taco
  • 1 can (15 oz) spicy chili beans in sauce, undrained
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, chopped (1 cup)
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, sauté the beef over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked through; drain any excess fat.
  • Combine hot water, sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper box, and beans in a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add uncooked rice from the Hamburger Helper box and mix well.
  • Lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 25 minutes with occasional stirring until the rice becomes tender (the sauce will thicken as it sits). In a small bowl, whisk together milk and topping mix from the Hamburger Helper box for 30 seconds; set it aside.
  • Take the beef mixture off the heat and garnish each serving with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and corn chips from the Hamburger Helper box.
