Tender, marinated Korean BBQ beef slices in a sweet-savory sauce. Quick prep, irresistible taste!
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup soy sauce
  • 2 green onions, chopped, dark green parts separated from white and light green parts
  • 0.25 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon Korean red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1.5 pounds beef sirloin steak, cut very thin using kitchen shears
  • 1 teaspoon honey, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Assemble all your ingredients.
  • Combine soy sauce, green onions, yellow onion, sugar, garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, ginger, and black pepper in a large glass or ceramic bowl, and whisk until well mixed.
  • Simply toss steak slices to ensure even coating, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to 1 day for maximum flavor infusion.
  • Preheat a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Cook the steak and marinade in batches, adding honey to caramelize the steak, until fully cooked, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle bulgogi with finely sliced dark green tops of green onions for a fresh and vibrant finish.
