Make homemade candy bar with peanuts post-Halloween for delicious holiday gifts.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound candy corn
  • 1 (18 ounce) jar crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 (6 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening, or more if needed
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 9x13-inch pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Place the candy corn in a non-plastic, microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well each time, until melted and smooth.
  • Incorporate peanut butter into melted candy corn until well mixed, then press the mixture into the prepared pan, ensuring it reaches the corners.
  • Melt chocolate chips and vegetable shortening in a double boiler until smooth. Spread over the peanut candy and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
