Quick and effortless holiday cookies with a shortcut twist. Just 3 ingredients required!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 to 3 drops Betty Crocker™ red or green gel food color
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, butter, and egg in a large bowl, and mix until dough forms. Divide dough in half and thoroughly incorporate food color into one half of the dough.
  • Take 1 teaspoon of dough from each half of the candy cane mixture and shape into a 4-inch rope. Place a red and white rope next to each other on a cookie sheet, lightly press together and twist. Curve the top of the cookie down to create the cane's handle.
  • Bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until fully cooked. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then transfer from the baking sheet to a wire rack.
