Creamy carbonara sauce in 30 minutes for a delicious pasta dish.
Ingredients:
  • 6 ounces bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 3 roma (plum) tomatoes - halved, seeded, and chopped
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crisp up the bacon until golden brown, which should take around 10 minutes. Leave around 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings in the skillet, then sauté the onion with the bacon until translucent, for about 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, for about 2 minutes.
  • Combine Alfredo sauce with onion-bacon mixture in the skillet. Rinse the jar with water and add it to the skillet. Stir with a wooden spoon, ensuring to scrape off any brown bits. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then add tomatoes. Let the flavors meld together by simmering for about 5 minutes.
