Make quiche effortless with a simple Bisquick® crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 package (6 oz) sliced Canadian bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 oz)
  • 4 medium green onions, thinly sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate with shortening. Mix Bisquick and butter until well combined. Pour in boiling water and stir vigorously until a soft dough forms. Press the dough into the pie plate, shaping it along the edges of the rim.
  • Top the crust with a generous layer of crispy bacon, savory cheese, and fragrant onions. In a medium bowl, vigorously mix half-and-half, eggs, salt, and red pepper until fully combined. Pour the mixture over the crust.
  • Bake until the edges are a beautiful golden brown and the center is fully set, typically 35 to 40 minutes.
