Quick and effortless beignets cooked by dropping dough into hot oil - no need for rolling or cutting.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a large mixing bowl, blend together flour, water, milk, egg, baking powder, sugar, and salt until the mixture is perfectly smooth.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 360°F (180°C).
  • Carefully place dollops of batter into the bubbling hot oil. Fry, flipping halfway through, until they float to the top and achieve a beautiful golden brown color and puffiness, about 3 to 5 minutes per batch. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
