Create sweet memories with family while baking and decorating gingerbread houses using an easy cookie mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Limited Edition Gingerbread Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Creamy White Frosting or 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Assorted small candies, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix cookie mix, butter, water, and egg in a medium bowl until dough forms. Divide dough into two equal parts.
  • Divide the dough in half and roll out each portion on a floured surface into a 9x6-inch rectangle. Cut each rectangle into 6 (3-inch) squares. Place 4 squares on an ungreased cookie sheet. Take the remaining 2 squares, cut them diagonally in half to make 4 triangles. Attach 1 triangle to each square to create a roof by pressing the dough together to seal.
  • Bake for 8 to 11 minutes until firm. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring from the baking sheet. Let cool completely for about 15 minutes. Top with frosting and candies for decoration.
