Elevate the classic Christmas gingerbread house with a modern twist! This easy, no-bake creation features chocolate mud cake, Flake chocolate, marshmallows, nuts, and candy inspired by the delicious flavors of rocky road. Impress Santa with this irresistible treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 600g plain chocolate mud cakes
  • 2 x 290g pkt dark chocolate melts, melted
  • 180g pkt Life Savers Duos Gummy Rings lollies
  • 200g chocolate finger biscuits
  • 2 x 30g Flake bars
  • 30g (1/2 cup) mini pink and white marshmallows
  • 190g Allen’s Ripe Raspberries lollies
  • 45g (1/4 cup) hazelnuts, roasted
  • 2 mini star-shaped pretzels
  • 80g white chocolate melts, melted
  • Icing sugar, to dust
Instructions:
  • Trim and discard icing from cakes using a large serrated knife. Cut each cake in half horizontally. Then, cut 2 side wall pieces (5 x 8cm), 2 roof pieces (8 x 13cm), and front and back wall pieces (5 x 7cm with 7cm gables).
  • Prepare a tray with baking paper. Arrange cake pieces on the tray. Spread rich dark chocolate over each cake piece using a palette knife. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
  • Flip the pieces and neaten any rough edges. Cover the exposed side with luscious chocolate. Allow it to rest until the chocolate is firm.
  • Spread dark chocolate along the bottom and side edges of the front wall piece. Stand it upright on a cake board until the chocolate sets. Spread chocolate along one long side edge and both short side edges of one side wall piece. Stand the long side on the board and attach it to the front wall. Repeat with the other side wall, then attach the back wall. Fill the house with most of the Gummy Rings. Spread chocolate over the side edges of the roof pieces. Secure them on the sides of the gables and walls to form the roof. Set aside until the chocolate sets.
  • Drizzle more dark chocolate generously to adhere most of the biscuits to the roof for full coverage. Place 1 Flake along the roof seam. Cut the remaining Flake at an angle to create a chimney and attach it to the roof. Trim the leftover biscuits and reference the picture to assemble a door on the front wall. Use dark chocolate to affix marshmallows, raspberry lollies, hazelnuts, and pretzels to the front, side, and back walls.
  • Fill a small sealable plastic bag with white chocolate and cut off a corner. Squeeze the chocolate to create dripping effects on the edges and seam of the roof. Use the remaining Gummy Rings to create a pathway. Lightly sprinkle icing sugar over the house.
