Wholesome pancake recipe with bran, chia seeds, and flax seeds for a fiber-rich breakfast loved by all.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose baking mix (such as Bisquick®)
  • 0.25 cup bran meal
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, combine baking mix, bran meal, sugar, ground flax seeds, chia seeds, and baking powder. Create a well in the center. Pour 1 tablespoon of the egg mixture into the well and whisk until fully combined. Gradually add and whisk in the remaining egg mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the batter thickens and slowly falls off the whisk in 1 to 2 seconds.
  • Preheat a griddle over medium-high heat and grease with butter.
  • In batches, spoon 1/3 cup of batter onto the griddle, ensuring they are 4 inches apart. Cook until bubbles form and edges are dry, about 3 to 4 minutes. Gently flip and cook until browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with the rest of the batter, adding more butter to the griddle if necessary.
