Whip up delicious homemade yogurt with just two ingredients and a little time.
Ingredients:
  • 1 gallon 2% milk
  • 1 cup plain yogurt with active cultures
Instructions:
  • In a pot, gently heat milk until it begins to simmer, stirring occasionally to avoid sticking. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, being careful not to let it overflow.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and allow it to cool until you can comfortably leave your finger dipped in the milk for 10 to 15 seconds, which should take around 30 to 60 minutes. Add the yogurt without stirring.
  • Cover the pot with the lid and wrap it snugly with a blanket. Allow it to ferment in a slightly warm, undisturbed place for 6 to 10 hours, preferably overnight. Once ready, transfer to the refrigerator to further thicken the yogurt.
