Creamy butter chicken with aromatic spices, onions, butter, and tomato sauce for a delicious curry.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, divided
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1.5 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until it melts, then sauté onion and garlic until the onion caramelizes to a dark brown, about 15 minutes.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, infuse cream, tomato sauce, butter, salt, cayenne pepper, and garam masala until it simmers. Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and gently simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add caramelized onions and stir.
  • Coat chicken with vegetable oil and sprinkle with tandoori masala. Spread evenly on a baking sheet while the sauce simmers.
  • Roast chicken in the hot oven until cooked through, approximately 12 minutes.
  • Simmer the cooked chicken in the sauce for 5 minutes before serving.
