Easy lemonade scones recipe

Delicious and foolproof scones that will brighten up any afternoon tea!
Ingredients:
  • 525g self-raising flour
  • 250ml lemonade
  • 185ml buttermilk
  • Jam, to serve
Instructions:
  • First, heat your oven to 220°C and prepare a 23cm (base measurement) square cake pan by greasing it. In a large bowl, create a well in the center of the flour. Pour in the lemonade and buttermilk. Using a flat-bladed knife, gently stir until a soft, sticky dough comes together.
  • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth. Flatten into a 3cm-thick disc. Using a lightly floured 6cm round cutter, cut out 16 discs from the dough, reshaping as needed. Place the scones in the prepared pan, side-by-side.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden and scones have a hollow sound when tapped.
  • Accompany it with a flavorful jam.
