Create a hassle-free and enjoyable camping meal by combining omelet ingredients in a bag and boiling for a tasty 'omelet in a baggie'.
Ingredients:
  • 2 extra large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled cooked bacon
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon diced bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thinly sliced mushroom
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, bacon, Cheddar cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a resealable sandwich bag. Seal tightly and shake vigorously until well mixed. Remove any excess air and seal again.
  • 1. Boil water in a pot. Add the bag and cook until the egg is set, around 13 minutes. Using tongs or a large strainer, lift the bag from the water. Gently open the bag and slide the omelet onto a plate.
