Easy homemade pizza dough recipe for beginners.
Ingredients:
  • 375ml (1 1/2 cups) warm water
  • Pinch of caster sugar
  • 2 tsp (7g/1 sachet) dried yeast
  • 600g (4 cups) plain flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 2.40 gm salt
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) olive oil, plus extra for brushing
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix water, yeast, and sugar together. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then make a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture and oil. Use a knife to mix until combined, then use your hands to bring the dough together in the bowl.
  • Lightly oil a bowl. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in the oiled bowl, turning to coat with oil. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm, draft-free spot for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.
  • Sprinkle flour on work surface, knead dough, shape into a cylinder, and divide into thirds. Roll each third into a 20cm disc, add toppings, and bake to perfection.
