Juicy chicken thighs seared, slow-cooked with sweet honey and tangy mustard for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup good-quality honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Mix together cumin, thyme, and paprika in a small bowl, then generously coat the chicken thighs with the fragrant spice blend on all sides.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sizzle oil and sear chicken until golden on all sides, approximately 10 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a slow cooker and generously sprinkle chopped garlic over the top.
  • Combine the honey and mustard in a small bowl, then drizzle the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker. Add the chicken broth and cover with the lid.
  • Slow cook until chicken is tender and fully cooked, approximately 6 hours. Season generously with salt and pepper to enhance flavors.
