Creamy smoked salmon pasta with cream cheese sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package linguine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 ounce smoked salmon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-fat cream cheese
Instructions:
  • Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a vigorous boil. Cook linguine until al dente, about 11 minutes; then drain, saving 2 tablespoons of pasta water.
  • Combine butter and olive oil in a saucepan over gentle heat until bubbling; then add shallots and cook until softened. Incorporate milk, salmon, and cream cheese into the shallots. Stir in reserved pasta water until well combined.
  • Combine the salmon mixture with linguine in a large serving bowl, ensuring it is evenly mixed.
