Saltine toffee: Sweet brown sugar syrup over crackers, baked, and coated in chocolate. Deliciously easy treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 ounce) package saltine crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 325°F (165°C) and generously grease a baking sheet. Arrange saltine crackers on the sheet, making sure their edges touch for perfect baking harmony.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar until it reaches 235 degrees F (112 degrees C) or forms a soft ball in cold water. Pour over crackers and spread evenly.
  • After baking in a preheated oven for 15 minutes, sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Once the chips turn glossy, spread them evenly with a spatula and sprinkle with almonds. Freeze for 20 minutes before serving.
