Elevate wonton soup with mushrooms, celery, bok choy, spinach, and shrimp. Customize and enjoy!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 green onions, minced
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 2 (32 ounce) cartons chicken broth
  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 5 green onions, sliced
  • 1 dash soy sauce, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare the wonton filling by combining pork, green onions, egg, hot sauce, and pepper in a bowl. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Spoon a generous amount of pork mixture onto the center of a wonton wrapper. Dampen the edges with water. Fold the bottom corner to the top corner, making a triangle, and press to close. Fold in the two side corners and press to seal. Continue making wontons with the rest of the wrappers.
  • Prepare the soup by bringing chicken broth to a rolling boil in a pot. Stir in grated ginger, followed by the wontons, and simmer until the wontons rise to the surface, for approximately 6 minutes.
  • Sprinkle green onions and drizzle soy sauce on each bowl for a flavorful finish.
