Celebrate with my timeless Christmas brunch egg casserole featuring eggs, bread, cheese, and sausage (or bacon)!
Ingredients:
  • 12 eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 pounds ground breakfast sausage
  • 16 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 7 slices white bread, torn into pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until browned. Remove from skillet, drain excess grease, and let it cool. Next, pour the eggs into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Combine sausage, bread, and 12 ounces of cheese in a big bowl. Mix thoroughly, then add this to the egg mixture. Sprinkle the remaining 4 ounces of cheese on top and cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, then continue baking uncovered until casserole is golden brown and bubbling.
