Customizable crispy egg rolls with bean sprouts, cabbage, beef, shrimp, and more, wrapped in wonton perfection for a delicious appetizer or meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound shrimp - peeled, deveined and coarsely chopped
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 pound bean sprouts
  • 2 green onions
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium head cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (MSG)
Instructions:
  • Stir-fry cabbage, bean sprouts, celery, and green onions in a large wok over high heat until vegetables reduce in size. If needed, add a splash of water. Add shrimp and stir-fry until fully cooked.
  • Cook ground meat in a large skillet until browned. Drain excess grease and combine the meat with the vegetables and shrimp. Sauté over high heat and stir in oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and MSG. Once fully combined, remove from heat.
  • Spoon the meat and seafood mixture onto the center of each wonton skin. Fold the wonton over to enclose the filling, then seal by moistening the edges with water and pressing to make egg rolls.
  • Deep-fry the egg rolls in a shallow layer of vegetable oil until they are beautifully golden brown.
