Indulge in a delicious eggnog treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • Powdered sugar
  • 1 package (4-serving size) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. In a medium saucepan, bring water and butter to a rolling boil. Add flour and stir vigorously over low heat for 1 minute until mixture forms a ball; remove from heat. Quickly beat in eggs until smooth.
  • Spoon dough onto cookie sheet using a scant 1/4 cupful, ensuring they are 3 inches apart. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until puffed and golden. Allow to cool away from any drafts.
  • In a large bowl, blend all Eggnog Cream ingredients (except cream) with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. Add cream and beat on high speed for another 1 to 2 minutes until soft peaks form.
  • Trim the tops of the cooled puffs and remove any excess soft dough. Stuff the puffs with Eggnog Cream and then place the tops back on. Dust with powdered sugar before serving immediately. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
