Deconstructed taco patties, grilled to perfection, served on a refreshing bed of lettuce and creamy avocado.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 package (20 oz) lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons from 1 container (6.25 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 cup thick & chunky salsa
  • 1 medium avocado, pitted, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cups shredded lettuce
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Combine egg, turkey, bread crumbs, taco seasoning mix, and 1/4 cup salsa in a medium bowl. Form into 4 patties that are 1/2 inch thick.
  • Once the grill is hot, place the patties on a gas grill over medium heat or on a charcoal grill over medium coals. Remember to cover the grill. Grill the patties for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping them once, until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  • In a medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup salsa with the avocado. Serve by placing 1 cup lettuce on each plate, topping with a turkey patty, and 1/4 of the avocado mixture.
