Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz.) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4   medium garlic cloves, finely chopped (about 2 Tbsp.)
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley (from 1 bunch)
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives (from 1 [1/2-oz.] pkg.)
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon zest plus 1/2 tsp. fresh juice (from 1 lemon)
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme (from 1 [1/2-oz.] pkg.)
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
Instructions:
  • Prepare all the delightful ingredients needed for the recipe.
  • Combine butter, garlic, fresh herbs, tangy mustard, zesty lemon, smoky paprika, and a mix of spices in a bowl, ensuring it is well blended.
  • Place the butter mixture onto a large sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll it into a log, shaping it as desired. Twist both ends of the wrap until the log is tight and even. Refrigerate for 2 hours to let the flavors blend and the mixture to firm up.
  • Remove the chilled mixture from the refrigerator, slice it, and serve it sliced to accompany steak, seafood, or vegetables, or spread it onto bread. Alternatively, melt it to create a delicious dipping sauce.
